Program Crashed when entering search text

Had a couple of crashes today entering text into both Movie and Artist search boxes.

I have upped the latest dump files.

Running 4.9.9.1

The previous version had a search bug, but I was convinced I had fixed it. Please give me an example of a search that crashes.

Don't have clear examples for you i am afraid.

Just crashed again but non on search box this time Maybe another issue

Dumps on the way

Basically scanning uncatalog movies via scan a location ....

I click on the first movie it finds and bam it crashes ...replicable here

Still having occasional crashes but hard to say its search word specific.

I had the following earlier .... Clicked on Movie Search - Clicked on a starring actor and it crashed Restarted and on saved screens clicked on actor again and crashed (did this again and same) - . I then decided to reset my movie filtered search to defaults ANY on all and it it no longer crashed (multiple program restarts) - I then set the movie filters back, but it would not replicate (the crash)

Hi Hector,

Since the reg change all is good, but still issues on that individual movie, so strange !!! It was a new one for me last month so move into my scan folders and when the post scan box comes through with found movies, i click on that movie and it crashes. Bizarre indeed

And also noticed that the standalone version now seems to crash when i search for that entry

As I've told you in our private conversation, that movie has a corrupted plot which makes the program crash when the interface is minimized. The current database has a dozen other corrupted plots like this, and everything will be fine again when I'll update the database in a few days.

Good to hear it's in the process of being resolved - No mention offline of data corruption as you stated, hence my follow-up posts.

Anyways you got to the bottom of it ..that's the most important thing

I'm surprised, maybe it went into your spam box or maybe it wasn't clear enough.

My last mail on september 26th was:

"Ok, I think I know what's wrong with this movie. It has an invalid description. It's a bug that I had discovered a few days ago and already fixed for the next version."

It crashes when I try to type or paste something with "the s", and a one another letter, but I can't remember whitch.
