Its been so long I haven't been visiting the forum due to my busy academic routine. But today I had to login because an idea struck my mind while using the software.

Well time to time, I mark the movies as wished so that I can have a list that what movie I have to download in upcoming days.

So once I download them, I add them owned list.

So the problem begins here. When I add the movies which I wished for, I want to remove them from the wish list. Well it can be done manually like clicking on the wish list and look for the movies for the play icon and remove them.

But then I was looking for an option that instead of looking for the icon, I could filter it out. But then what I found is both "Owned" tag and "wished" tag are in the same drop down menu. So there is no chance in filter out the movies which I wished before and I owned them now.

SOLUTION
Plan A: You could add a filter option which will list out the movies what are wished but owned now.

Plan B: Which is superior than plan A, you could give a option to automatically remove the wishlist tag from the movies which is owned.

If you list your wished movies, the owned movies should stand out because their title is highlighted. Isn't it a good enough solutions?

I'd prefer not to add a special option for that, because there's no place where that option would fit naturally.

You can place it in the Tools menu >> Manage your video files. Option as "Remove wished in playable"

I'm uncomfortable with this solution because "owned" isn't synonym of "video file". People will never think of looking into the "manage your video files" menu because it's not logical. And people who will see this menu option will find it weird. Personally if I see that option I'll be puzzled because it doesn't fit.

Is it too difficult to spot the highlighted titles? Should take only a few seconds...

Maybe I could modify the scanning process instead.

When you'd click to add the scanned files, the program would tell you that, for example, 5 movies were in your wish list, and you'd be offered the option to mark them as not wished anymore.

I see a few advantages: it's more logical, users are warned as soon as the problem occurs, and they don't have to scratch their head to find out a way to fix the problem.

I have a similar problem, except that I am using the 'ordered' tag as well.

My workaround has been to use the 'recently owned' search option, so you still have to go through each movie one by one to remove the 'wished' or 'ordered' tag, but at least they are all together in a list.

But if the scan could offer to remove movies from wished and ordered, that would be great...

Thanks,

Sorry it took me a little longer than expected. This feature is now available with the new version 4.10.8.
