The DVD set Looney Tunes Golden Collection (UPC 085392791828), a collection of classic animated shorts from the 1930s–60s with no continuity between them, is incorrectly listed under The Looney Tunes Show (IMDB tt1726839), a half-hour animated sitcom series from 2011.

As far as I can tell, the old Looney Tunes shorts do not have a collective entry on IMDB (though they do have individual entires), but the 2011 series is an entirely different thing.

EDIT: My mistake, they’re actually listed under a different Looney Tunes Show from 2001 (IMDB tt0366051), a TV repackaging of classic shorts which… seems to be the database’s default choice of title for any such collections. And is probably the best currently available choice. If this forum had a strikethrough formatting, I’d strike my original post.

Thanks for everything you do!

Looney Tunes shorts are hard to sort, it could have been a mistake. If you see something wrong, tell me and I'll fix it.

Yeah, IMDB needs a “Looney Tunes” series entry. That or we classify every home release as a “pack” and identify every single short on them, which seems logistically terrifying.

I don't know what's the best solution. We're talking about how many shorts? Seems to be a lot. Are they all individually listed on the IMDb? Maybe you could suggest the IMDb to create a series entry:

https://contribute.imdb.com/czone?ref_=nv_cm_cz

and we'll see if they have a reason to refuse...
