I added a movie to my coolection - then later realized it was not the one I owned, but now I cannot figure out how to remove the item from the ones I own.
Thanks,
Rachel :worried:

Well, you go to that movie.

You click on "Owned Videos" (bottom left).

A window will appear with your owned video details.

This window has 3 buttons: "edit", "close" and "remove".

Guess which one you must press :P

You confirm and voila!

1st. Hello Hector, Hope all is well.
I own "Pearl Harbor - Anniversary Edition" with brown cover art.
It is listed as available. When I try to add it, I keep getting blue/white cover display. - I DONOT want that displayed. I want the brown art copy I have. !!! I have removed & added SIX times with same result !
Grrrr :x
Please help. I'm at a loss what to do.

Hi lwbjag,

sorry for the frustration... there's a few things I need to clarify.

The theory:
Coollector is primarily a database of movies. The image that illustrates the movie "Pearl Harbor" should be the theatrical poster of the movie "Pearl Harbor", not the cover art of a DVD.

The reality:
Because it was faster for me to do, each movie is currently illustrated by a DVD cover picked at random. I still have to replace that with real theatrical posters, maybe with users' help.

Videos:
When you look at the description of an available video, you can see its cover art, but there's no cover art displayed for the videos that you own. It's a shortcoming of the current version of the program, and it will be fixed in a future version (the reason is that I'm waiting to have added UPC/EAN information to the database, to identify videos with certainty).

thanks for the speedy reply Hector.
I "think" I understand. :)
At least the versions confirm the same title in the owned sector.
Better than nothing & reasonable.
It still seems an overwhelming task to do what you've done !
Thanks

Clearly I haven't chosen the easiest road, but once everything's in place, it will be worth the trouble 8)
