FREEZE REPORT = F3

Fri May 17, 2024 1:54 am

I have movies stored on two different drives. One drive scans fine but the other one freezes and the program needs to close. Now I am getting an App Freeze Detected message along with "FREEZE REPORT = F3. What am i doing wrong?

You're doing nothing wrong, it has to be a bug.

The F3 freeze can only occur after the app has updated your predicted ratings. Normaly this shouldn't be related with scanning your files.

Did you rate a movie (thus triggering an update of your predicted ratings) and launched the scanning immediately after?

The scanning algorithm seems to be choking on a file, we need to determine which file it is. Can you see on which file name the app freezes?

Maybe you can you try scanning only subfolders of the drive instead of the whole drive, until we find which subfolder contains the culprit file.

I have moved about 20 files out of the drive but still get the same problem. A new file shows up after I delete a file and restart the program.

I am going to eliminate blocks of files and see if I can't find the offending file that way.

You mean that the app freezes on a file, you remove that file, and then the app freezes on the next file?

It appears that the app doesn't freeze on a single file but on a group instead.

We must determine what those files have in common...

Please give me some file names with their full path.
