I download this latest version and it has crashed severral times. When I searched movie name 'X-men', It crashed immediately after I input 'X-'. Then I searched for movie '007:Golden eye'. I typed 'golden eye' and only find a very old film (1960's). So I changed to person search 'pierce brosnan'. When I drag down to see all movies under Pierce, it crashed again after rolling several lines.
I attach a screeshot, please check. Thanks.

BTW, I am using win7 64bit version, this should not be the problem, I think.

Thank you very much for reporting your problem !

To understand what's going wrong, I need you to run a debug version that'll generate a crash dump.

Please download this zip file:

http://www.coollector.com/Coollector.zip

Then extract it inside the folder "C:\Program Files" (it contains the file "Coollector.exe"). Now run the file "C:\Program Files\Coollector.exe" and make it crash. I need you to email me the 2 files of the crash dump.

My email address is: hector at coollector dot com

The title of the James Bond movie is "GoldenEye", in 1 word instead of 2.

There's something strange happening on your system, probably because it's chinese. When the program tries to capitalize a letter, sometimes the returned letter is empty. I don't understand why, but I think I can prevent the program from crashing when it happens.

First, you can delete the file from last time. Then, you'll replace your Coollector.exe (the one when you installed the program) with the one inside this zip:

http://www.coollector.com/Coollector_Fixed.zip

Please confirm that the program doesn't crash anymore.

I'd also be curious to know what were the titles that made the program crash. Please download this other zip file:

http://www.coollector.com/Coollector_Test.zip

and extract it to "C:\Program Files". Then run "C:\Program Files\Coollector.exe", and it'll display a message every time a title would have previously crashed the program. Please give me a few examples of those titles.

Thank you very much ! Because you've helped me fix a crashing bug, I'm happy to give you a free license :)

Thank you very much for your help! I use the fixed file and it does not crash anymore. I will let you know if it shall crash in the future.
For the test file, I tried to search movie 'X-men' again and it displayed a blank message when I typed in 'X-' (see attached file.) So far other movie names I tried are OK. I will give you feedback if any further names crash the program.
I really appreciate your great work and thanks for the free license.

Ok, you don't have to use the test program anymore, it'll show only blank messages.

Please search 'X-men' again and look at the results. Can you see movies with blank titles ?

My guess is that there'll be a blank title between "Charisma X - Iannis Xenakis" and "Chronicles of the Roman Numeral X".

Am I right ?

I'm really surprised that the title "Chôsei kantai seizâ X" is displayed. There's something that I don't understand.

But if everything's fine, well, everything's fine

You are right. I misunderstood you yesterday. If I search 'X-men', it is OK. If I just search 'X-', there is a blank title between the 2 movies you mentioned. It displayed as '2005-2006 series/action Japan'. No such title as 'Chosei.....'

At least, I understand the problem correctly. I think I know how to fix it, but I need you to confirm.

Please replace your Coollector.exe with the one inside this zip:

http://www.coollector.com/Coollector_Fix2.zip

and tell me if the movie title is still blank.

Please tell me what happens if you replace your current movie database with the one inside this zip:

http://www.coollector.com/english.movies.dat.zip

First, you have to close Coollector. Then, locate and replace your current movie database. It should be

"C:\Users\Public\Documents\Coollector\Databases\english.movies.dat".

Thank you very much !
