Suggestion for future version of Coollector

Sun Nov 25, 2012 1:04 am

can you add a new genre : REALITY TV or/and TALK-SHOW for the TVShow, and other TV reality program like 'Jersey Shore', 'Dancing with the Stars', 'Late show with David Letterman', because the tag TV is so generic and include actually TVseries, TVFilms and TVshow.

Thanks.images/smilies/icon_cool.gif

Absolutely. The genres "Reality-TV", "Talk-Show" and "Game-Show" will be added in a future version.

I seem to remember you had plans to add sorting by "location". Have I missed that, or is it still in the planning? I use "location" to index my collection & would like to be able to print an alpha list And a numerically indexed list. Thanks.

It's already possible to add a "location" filter, by clicking the "more filters" button, but currently that filter works only with the location of your physical videos.

What I said that I planned to do, is to make it work also with the location of your digital video files. For example, you could list all the movies stored on a specific hard disk, or a specific folder. And yes, it's still planned

I currently use the "Location" to give each disc a unique number. But when I print out a list of movies, that "location" does Not show up. Is there a setting I need to change so that "location" will show up in the print out?
Thanks

If you're using the 'Print List' button then that isn't possible as yet.

I think Hector plans to make major changes to this feature in the near future. He'll probably post a more detailed reply soon...

As Kakashi said.

Hi,
I would like a way to mark movies as seen/not seen.
Be able to filter for not seen/seen.

Also if a move is loaned should it then be considerd not playable. I tried to use this to seperate seen/not seen but loaned still showup as playable.

Thanks,
Great program just started to use.

If you've seen a movie, then rate it.

You can't rate a movie if you haven't seen it, thus rating a movie implies that you've seen it ;)

"Notice that there isn't a "seen" icon, as it's not needed.
To show that you've seen a movie, simply rate it."

cptkirkxxx wrote:Be able to filter for not seen/seen.

Look at the rating filter. There's a value that says "not rated (not yet seen)".

cptkirkxxx wrote:Also if a move is loaned should it then be considered not playable.

"Playable" means a video on your computer. So unless you loan your computer, you'll rather loan things like DVDs, BLU-RAYs, etc...

cptkirkxxx wrote:I tried to use this to seperate seen/not seen but loaned still showup as playable.

Rate the movies to show that you've seen them. Rating the movies is very useful when you look at a person's filmograhy, and it'll become even more useful in the future as I'll add a feature to predict how you'll like a movie based on how you rated similar movies.
