I got a problem with updating photos and prices . when I click on update session i always encounter the following msg : problem with yr internet connection or your firewall setting. there's no way to edit firewall setting or something like that . i want to ask if it is possible for u to do something about it or let the program automatically use the firewall setting from internet explorer . thank u very much in advance

When Coollector can't connect to our update server, it tries to connect to Google.com. If Google doesn't respond either, it's certainly not a problem with our update server, but a problem with your internet connection or your firewall settings.

A program can't set the firewall rules on his own. It's obvious when you think about it. Otherwise, firewalls would be totally useless. If you have set the wrong rules for Coollector and your firewall is blocking it, then you have to delete those rules, and the next time you'll use Coollector, your firewall will ask you again if it must allow or block... I let you figure out what to choose ;)

I can't test because I don't have a proxy, but I will prepare you a version and you'll tell me if it works. Please allow me one day or two.

mchangizi,

could you please install and test this version:

http://www.coollector.com/Coollector_proxy.exe

Copy it in the same place you installed Coollector, and tell me if it works or if you get error messages.

"Error n°2" is a message that I've set to indicate that proxy use is disabled ( Coollector has read your internet settings, and ProxyEnable = false).

Are you certain you're using a proxy ? How come ? Are you at work ?

It's weird that I can't detect when proxy use is enabled (it worked on my computer).

Anyway, now I'll try to detect your proxy name...

I have changed the exe, please test again:

The problem is I don't know where's the registry key I need. It's probably due to the fact you're using an iranian version of Windows. I tried with an english version and a french version, and the key was the same on both systems. But iranian Windows seems to use a different location.

Please go to your Windows directory, and launch regedit.exe.

Search for "http://internet.edbi.ir/proxy.js" and tell me where it's located.

From what I understand, "http://internet.edbi.ir/proxy.js" is not really your proxy server, but a server that automatically configures your proxy settings. I still have to find your proxy server...

Could you please send me a screenshot of all the values inside
hkey_current_user>software>microsoft>windows>curent version>internet settings
