Getting my collector data bas to work

Wed Jun 25, 2014 7:03 am

I installed Coolector on my iMac last August and then logged in all my DVDs. Every thing has been working fine until today when I can not access the program even though it is listed in Launch pad and applications.

I recently got a MacBook Pro and would like to have my Coolections on there also. My mind says to load Coollector and then copy my latest backup to the notebook. Right? Where would I load the collection file?

Your coollection file is

~/Movies/Coollector Movie Database/MyCoollection.cool

If you install Coollector on a new computer, then replace the coollection file with the one from your old computer, you'll get all your data.

What happens when you launch the program? Do you get an error message?

Coollector version 4.2.1 has just been added to the Mac App Store. Please update and tell me if that helps.

I downloaded a new version from your website. The program comes up with nothing in the data base. I tried copying my last backup which has a longer na than mycoolection.cool. Could not get the app to recognize my new file. I did not pay for another copy. How can I recover my license key?

The backup has to replace MyCoollection.cool. That means same location and same name.

Please follow the directions from the help:

Everything is working fine including the bar scanner. I removed previous versions of Coolrector, installed the current version and copied a backup. Walaa! Success!!! Thanks for all the help
