Hi :D

I'm about to release a new version with an important interface redesign: the main window doesn't have tabs anymore. It looks slicker, we gain some screen real estate, and navigation is less confusing (particularly in single-pane mode where tabs were moving around and not always visible).

This version also brings a new stats window, as well as two "arrow" buttons. The first button is shown only in single-pane mode and allows to go back and forth between the left panel and the right panel. A bit more useful, when a panel gets hidden to show another panel instead, the second button appears and allows to go back and forth between those two panels.

To prevent a chaotic release, I'd be relieved if some of you could beta-test this new version for a few days and confirm that I haven't missed any bug.

Here's the PC version:
https://www.coollector.com/Coollector_BETA2.exe

Here's the MAC version:

Thank you very much for your help!

Bug found. Hard to show this in a screenshot, but you can easily test it. When you're using the filter, and edit tags on an entry that excludes it from your filter, it doesn't refresh properly. It would previously just automatically update. You can press F5 to force the app to update, but otherwise it gets confused.

Thank you very much, there's indeed a problem with the filtered search

BETA2 is now available (I've modified the download links from my first message).

This isn't a bug, this is a suggestion. On the old design if you accidently clicked "Wishlist" it would basically wipe all of your filters to show you it, which is fine, I guess - but with the new design you could make "Wishlist" and/or "Owned" specific filters that when selected do not overwrite any other filters the user has in play. They could click on the "Wishlist" and then just click back to "Filtered Search" to get back to where they were.

The old shortcut filters are now all gathered into the "Stats" window (with a few new ones).

I won't add "Wishlist" and/or "Owned" to the popdown menu, the only value that I plan to add is "Saved Searches". Because when the saved searches will be available (very soon), it'll radically change the way we interact with filters.

I understand that "Wishlist" and "Owned" are the filters that you use the most so you want a quick access to them.

Saved searches are only the beginning, just after that I will add another major feature that will fulfil all your dreams ;)

Hi,

Just found some app issues on the beta 2 mac version.

The stats window blocks the program until it´s closed.
The menu (button replacemant) only closes if I select an item otherwise I have to click outside
the app window to close it.

Is it possible to use the mac system menu bar ?

I've just tested and I can't reproduce the issues you describe. I've tested with an Intel chip as well as a Silicon chip.

There are 3 ways to close it, they all worked for me:

1) click the button "close".
2) click the window's red button.
3) press the ESC key.

In my case I can click anywhere outside the menu, not necessarily outside the app. I can also press the ESC key.

It has the same behaviour, I don't see any difference. I thought it was better to have the menus inside the app, but maybe you don't agree with me. I'd be happy to have more people's opinion about it.

I'm interested to know, please tell me what problem you had with the menus... Was it their behaviour or was it because I had moved them at the top of the main window?

If I use the right mousebutton everything is ok, but with left mousebutton the menu won't close and I can´t select another one so I have use the ESC-key.

That's very weird, right and left buttons work exactly the same for me (tried on 2 different Macs).
