would it be possible to have the program save my set up choices each time i open the program? it's time consuming and a little annoying to have to reset the thumb size, Nb columns and style in movie list and then again in people list every single time i open the program. (and thanks for adding my movie selections ![]() |

Normally the program remembers your settings. What version are you using ? The normal version or the portable version ? |

Please make the test, set the main window to a certain size and a certain position, close Coollector, then open it again. |

It's the version that you can install on a USB key. Where did you download the program from ? i don't remember. the internet someplace. Does the program remember the window size and position ? yes, i did the test and yes it did remember size. Please make the test, set the main window to a certain size and a certain position, close Coollector, then open it again. |

(sorry, I've had a technical problem that prevents me to release the new version until tomorrow) Please replace your current Coollector.exe with this one: http://www.coollector.com/Coollector.exe and tell me if you still have your problem. |

i havent used or opened Coolector program in a while. If i update to the current version (update that opens when i open program), will that be the same as replacing my coollector.exe with the one you suggested? |

it still doesn't save my viewing preferences, meaning the smalled movie cover view, to the left, one on a row... it does save my program size, but not the ones i really want to save. |

You mean that you set the grid layout to 1 column, with the smallest thumbnail size, am I correct ? When you open the program, what layout do you get instead ? Have you tried another type of layout to see if it is better remembered ? Have you tried with all the grid, to see if some of them remember the layout ? |

You mean that you set the grid layout to 1 column, with the smallest thumbnail size, am I correct ?Yes, that's what i want. smallest thumbnail, one on a row, with cover on left. When you open the program, what layout do you get instead ? I don't remember excactly, but it's only covers, sort of large and about 3 across. Have you tried another type of layout to see if it is better remembered ? no, i haven't tried other layouts. as it takes a while to close and open the program each time. Have you tried with all the grid, to see if some of them remember the layout ?not sure what you mean? |

OMG, i dnn't know why (i have one theory), but i just opened the program again, and my layout is the way i wanted it. My theory: whenever i close the program i couldn't find a "file" "exit" option, as in most programs. but i was in the tools menu and saw "exit" so i exited that way. does it make a difference how one exits the program?? |

ronig wrote: does it make a difference how one exits the program?? If you kill the program from the task manager, yes, you prevent it from saving the settings. But I don't think that's what you did, because it wouldn't have saved the window position either. To close the program gracefully, either you use the menu "Tools->Exit", either you close the window by clicking the red cross icon at the top right. |
