Imdb running time - to have an idea how long a movie will be running for.

Some form of shortcuts - esp. for those persons who don't like the new look.

It's on my todo list (videos already have a running time field).

Simply set the thumb size to the minimum.

I have no plan for that. Renaming with Windows Explorer is easy. If you have many files to rename and want to use regular expressions, there are millions of free programs that can do that.

Many prob dont even bother to ask on the forum. You made a shortcut button for owned and encyclopedia. Why not for Thumbnails settings?
Would make it possible to switch to old and new layouts with 1 click.

Those programs have no way of knowing what the correct name of those hundreds of files should be, Coollector does. Win explorer is even worse (requires finding name in coollector then going to directory then typing new name over and over again for entire coollection)

+ coollector already knows where all files are too so 1 press could auto rename the entire coollection

Shortcut button for owned and encyclopedia will disappear very soon.

Really ? How does Coollector know what's the correct name ? Either Coollector recognizes the file, either it doesn't, and when it doesn't, only a human can determine why (mispell, bad naming convention, etc...). If Coollector was able to determine what's wrong with the file name, it would simply add it, without even asking to rename it.

:lol: Silly me, Sorry. I meant files already added. This is a movie backup from my coollection.

e:\movies ripped\fantasy - scifi\transformers revenge of the fallen[2009]dvdrip[eng]-fxg\Transformers Revenge of the Fallen[2009]DvDrip[Eng]-FXG.avi
=> Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009)

most times files just have a few wrong characters but it can be as bad as this.

by the way congrats on your algorithm actually figuring out the correct name. :V:

Ok, I see. Yes, it could be done.

Coollector would rename the files, but I don't think it would rename the folders (unless it's a VIDEO_TS folder).

"Transformers Revenge of the Fallen[2009]DvDrip[Eng]-FXG.avi" would become "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009).avi".

My exact thoughts. :D

Usually movies with that are unsuitable for children would be placed in a different folder so children don't watch action, adult audience, r-rated etc.

Owned vids however gives access to all movies, how about a mode that disables the play button if the selected movie isn't children/family audience, G or PG.

edit: could be pretty useful when the kids come over, or when visiting family

Why not... I add it at the bottom of my todo list.

"I've climbed Mt. Everest, so you don't have to."

@kakashi

thanks for the .rar files of movie posters. I opened with the quote above because of the way the .rar files unpacked. The first file seems to contain ALL the files for the folders-00-99. The other seven files had errors within, but otherwise unpacked with the following patterns: #2 had folders 13-26, #3 had folders 26-39, #4 had folders 39-52, #5 had folders 52-65, #6 had folders 65-78, #7 had folders 78-92, #8 had empty folders 00-91, as well as folders 92-99. Curious why #2-7 each have the same volume as the first file.

While the .rar files #2-8 have duplicate folders, these folders do not contain duplicate jpgs. But all these jpgs seems to be matched by those from the first .rar file.

@Hector

After coming down from the "mountain", transferring the jpgs to the moviesdpt and defragging the hard drive, I've found the program to scroll MUCH, MUCH slower than before this journey.

Also, the program is less responsive than before. When I click on a title that is higher or lower than the middle of the movie panel, that title would scroll to the middle and the cast and crew will refresh if online. Until the title reaches the middle, nothing happens. When I click on a cast member, the time for the filmography to display is measureable (one-thousand-one) instead of near-instantaneous.

Yes, it has already happened to me too. With version 2.99.9, the scrolling sometimes became very very slow. I don't know why, and it's not important.

It's not important ? Yes, it's not important because I've juste released version 2.99.10, with a completely rewritten scrolling.

On my computer, it is now a pleasure to use. Please update and tell me how much better it is 8)
