We don't have an image for the movie 1977 (2007). You don't have an image on your hard drive. Coollector tries to find an image on the internet. |

So the loading time is the time it takes to check for a image online then when it doesn't find one -> load the replacement... edit: it seems to take the same time as downloading an xxxxxxxx.jpg image. does it actually download that image each time? |

kakashi wrote: So the loading time is the time it takes to check for a image online Yes, Coollector talks to the server. kakashi wrote: then when it doesn't find one -> load the replacement... What replacement ? If there's no image, Coollector displays a gray movie reel. |

kakashi wrote: edit: it seems to take the same time as downloading an xxxxxxxx.jpg image. There are 3 stages: 1) communicate with the server 2) download the image if there's one. 3) react to the end of transmission event, and redraw the grid cell. When there's no image, only stage 2 is skipped. kakashi wrote: does it actually download that image each time? If you mean the movie reel image, of course not, that image is hard coded inside Coollector. |
