I have just found your software and think it is one of the best movie database software programs available.

If someone purchases it, what is your upgrade policy when you produce a major version upgrade?

Thank you

Currently, I don't have any plan for a major upgrade. Every improvement is immediatly added to the current version. I never say to myself: "I will keep this feature for the next major version".

There'll probably be a version 4 at some point, and my hope is that it'll be a free upgrade. But it's so far in the future (at least 3 years) that I can't make any promise about it. Maybe it'll be free, but maybe it'll be a paid upgrade for a fraction of the full price.

If you buy our program today, you can be assured that you won't have to pay again for many years. Will it be a lifetime purchase ? Maybe... Maybe not... I won't make a promise that I'm not certain I'll be able to keep.

I've already been burnt in the past, when the program was free, and I was convinced that it would be forever.

At that time, I thought that we would make enough money from the affiliation with Amazon, but it turned out we earn only a few tens of dollars per month, far from paying the rent :(
