The same database installation for today (12/28/2018) keeps repeatedly installing each time I open Coolector.

What's your operating system?

I'm using a Mac Mini, Mojave, 10.14.2.

I think I've fixed the problem, please try again and tell me.

Sorry to report, when I tried to install the new database, all the steps go through, but then, at the end, Coolector checks again for updates, and the process starts all over.

I will keep searching...

Are you sure that you were installing the latest version 4.12.4? Where did you get the installer from? After install, did the title bar display "4.12.4"?
Now that Coollector is installed on your computer, does it update when you click the update menu?

I tried both -- using Update from the Menu and then changing and using the Automatic Update When Opening the App. Both did the same thing - cycle through the update process, but no update happens.
The update is 4.12.4,
I have screenshots, but I don't know how to include them in this message.
Can I delete the app and reinstall without losing my list of movies?

Yes you can, but it won't help with this issue.
Your list of movie is stored inside a Coollection file:

Am I the only one reporting this issue? I can't think of anything I'm doing that's different from all the other Coolector updates I've installed, and I'e been using Mojave since it came out so that shouldn't be the issue either.

Another Mac user has reported the same problem:
https://www.coollector.com/viewtopic.php?t=1826I hope he'll tell me if the problem still exists after the changes I've made. There was indeed an issue, but now everything seems fine when I try on my Mac. I don't understand why the issue isn't fixed for you too. Do you have several versions of Coollector on your computer? Maybe a Mac App Store version?
Sat Dec 29, 2018 6:53 pm
I have only one version of Coolector, but maybe it's the free version. Why don't I buy the App Store version and see what happens.
Sat Dec 29, 2018 7:31 pm
The free version is supposed to work, I need to find out what's the issue.
Don't buy the Mac App Store version, it hasn't been updated in a while, I have an issue with Apple that I haven't solved yet.
