Post subject:  June 4 2010 update

The latest update has changed things around a bit.

I have had Coollector installed on a portable HD with no problems. Since the update I can no longer use a portable HD. The main program file is saved on the portable HD, however the databases and files are saved to "C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Coollector". This takes away from the portability of the program. Was this intentional or a mistake?

Thank you,

Pogodeamon

Of course, it's not intentional, and I don't even remember having changed something that could have this effect.

Also, I've tried updating the portable version I have on my USB key, and everything seems fine.

How did you update ? Because it looks like you've installed the regular version of Coollector instead of the portable one.

Please install the portable version again, and tell me if it works:

It may have been a mistake on my behalf!

I used the update button, it updated fine. When trying to start Coollector it updated the prices and froze at 272/1010KB. I had to kill it. Then upon restating it said it couldn't find the DB files. So I grabbed a fresh copy. I may have grabbed the wrong one!

Sorry :cry2:

** I just reinstalled Coollector_Portable_Setup.exe. First time running it updated prices and froze again. So I killed the process and restarted. Working fine now.

It might be a temporary problem with my webhosting company. I've noticed that my servers have had some hiccups recently. There's not much I can do about it, except hope that it won't last too long. Of course, I could change to another webhosting company, but usually they're the best.
