Hi Hector. Just started using your program today & firstly I wanted to say thanks - it's just what I've been after. I have had a couple of crashes though (running Win7 x86 Ultimate) & I've noticed that the portable version of the program is writing to the user app data folder - a dump & an xml file, I believe. Personally I don't really mind as I use virtualization, but some peeps get kind of fanatical about these things. Regards, Me ![]() PS - Off topic, but as I keep all my movies on an external HDD (like many people, I expect) & I never really know whether the HDD will be mounted on Windows, Linux or on a Mac, do you have any plans to release a cross platform program which would enable me to use Coolector regardless of which OS my HDD is mounted on? (I imagine my question is far more easily posed than programmed...) |

You're right, the crash dump is written in the app data folder. I don't know if I can't change that, and I'm too busy right now to look into it. virtualinsanity wrote: do you have any plans to release a cross platform program which would enable me to use Coolector regardless of which OS my HDD is mounted on? We're working on a Mac version. |

Cheers for the quick reply! Coolector's only crashed on me a couple of times when I've been editing information. If I see it happen a bit more. If it does I'll happily take a de-bugging version to help you work out what's going on. And, back to my off topic part, I suppose it'll run in Linux under WINE? Can't stand anything Apple myself, but that's even further off topic! Thanks Hector.... |

virtualinsanity wrote: I suppose it'll run in Linux under WINE? One or two years ago, I was told that Coollector worked fine with Wine. I don't know if it's still the case. Maybe one day we'll make a native port to Linux, but it's far from sure (not enough users). |
