Hi,
Crime in the Streets (1955) was directed by Don Siegel not Sidney Lumet.

There are 2 movies with that title, the one directed by Don Siegel was from 1956.
The IMDb, TMDB, Wikipedia, they all agree on the year 1956.
The 1955 movie from Sidney Lumet was part of The Elgin Hour and is only 1 hour long.
They both tell the same story and star John Cassavetes as Frankie Dane.
