Here is the third beta of the skin system:

To start your experiments, click the menu "Tools->Skin Editor (BETA)".

A lot of things don't work very well, and some don't work at all. If a setting doesn't have the expected effect, just move on, as it's probably not implemented yet. For example, changing the width of the borders doesn't work at all with this version.


What's fixed with this version:

- using a background that fits across panels could make the program crash.

- transparent grid cells have been implemented, but it's far from working well and needs to be improved.



What remains to be done:

- fix everything that doesn't work as it should...

- border widths

- sizes

- new skin info => author & credits

- new grid style with less text

- new grid style with no text at all

- filters & string search => highlight text using bold font, instead of outlining

- skin folders => deletion and management

- discovery and download of new skins, with a search by skin release date, author, or popularity

That's strange, the file works fine for me. I even downloaded it from 2 different computers to make sure.
