Hi,

Online backup and publish seems to have stopped updating - when I select the option, normally it spends a minute or so uploading data, before going to the website. Now however it immediately opens the online list, and it doesn't have the most recent changes - seems like it's not registering recent changes.

I'd estimate a week or so this has been happening - although it might have been going on longer without me trying it. As an example my 'recently watched' in the app is 1644, online stays stuck at 1641.

For me too, the updloading to the server is very fast, almost instant, but it's ok, the data seems to be updated fine.

The test I made was to rate a random movie, then on the website I've selected "recently watched" and the movie was there in the first place. I've then unrated the movie, tested again, and it was gone.

It's not impossible that the uploading got faster, it could be my server's web hosting company who upgraded the service, or it could be your own internet connection that got faster.

Now I notice that me too I get a different number of "recently watched" between the app and the website.

My best guess is it's a bug that has appeared when I've introduced the "watched" feature, a long time ago, and nobody ever noticed.

I will look into it ;)

I've found the explanation :w00t:

Contrary to the website, the app doesn't list the series that you've rated and also marked as not interested (to watch more episodes).

It's the website who's right and I'll fix the app with the next update (it's not very urgent).

You're right it's not urgent :D

but - i think at least for me it is perhaps something else. I don't have any movies at all marked as not interested. And I've just tried giving a rating in the app to a film, and to a series, and then published online - and neither of them show up in the 'rated', 'watched', or 'recently watched' lists online, but all show in the app. I also took a 'loaned' movie that shows up in the 'loaned' list online, and in the app marked it as not loaned anymore, then published. And it stil show up in the 'loaned' list online.

Are you using the latest version? Have you tried restarting your computer?

And just to check i cleared cookes/cache, but doesn't make any difference. The lists online just stay as they were a week or two ago, nothing changing.

(I don't know how often the online file backups are supposed to update, perhaps every time you publish?- but when I select the 'view the backups saved on the server' option, there are several between 13/2 and 18/2, but nothing after the 18/2 at all (and I've published several times since then).

Just rebooted - no change; and selecting update in the app says program and database both ok.

I've looked at the server, I could see your attempts, and indeed the files were not updated since February 18th.

Tomorrow I'll investigate furthermore.

Do you have a PC or a Mac? If it's a Mac, does it have an Apple Silicon chip?

Not a problem at all - especially since the problem seems to be fixed :D

Did a backup and publish tonight, and it has worked, everything on the web version now matches the app. Also looking at the saved backups, there is one every day from 4/3 to 11/3 (two for a couple of days0, so I guess the backups are made automatically, not just when you click the button...

Well if we can't reproduce the issue anymore, there's no way I can determine what happened, we'll never know what it was.

A backup is made on your computer each you close the app after having done some changes. When you made the online backup, the latest backups were uploaded.

Just to let you know - same thing is happening again; the last entry on the list of online backups is 4th April; and attemping to Backup and Publish causes it to pause for only a second or two then open up the website; with recent changes missing (presumably anything after the 4th of April).
