Hello Hector,

the Coollector app seems to be starting, but crashes constantly a few second after
opening the main window.
Is there any chance to fix it ?

Did the previous versions (before 4.22.4) work for you?

I didn´t full upgrade since V 4.21.3 (only the file "english.movies.dat")

The crash files were very useful. TL;DR there's probably an issue with your coollection file.

Here's what happens... The app runs fine, it loads the new database and is able to make new predictions from it. Then it tries to save those new predictions to your coollection file but that's where the crash happens.

Collector 4.22.5 also crashed on a friend`s machine equipped with OS 10.12 without a collectionfile.

But anyways I just sent you my collection file, maybe there are more bugs...

Ok, your coollection file doesn't seem corrupted. I need to give it some more thought, what's happening is pretty weird...



Thankfully you can use version 4.22.3.

New version has a scrolling that is slightly better, more efficient at displaying posters and less CPU intensive. On some computers it can make more of a difference than on others.

Just tested the app on a VM running OSX 11.1 (Big Sur) and the app runs stable and fast without
any issues even on my slow VM.

Maybe the deployment target OS of your Xcode DevKit is above macOS 10.13. (XCode 14.0 and higher)

So every OS version below 10.14 is no longer supported by Xcode.
