Here is the second beta of the skin system:

To start your experiments, click the menu "Tools->Skin Editor (BETA)".

A lot of things don't work very well, and some don't work at all. If a setting doesn't have the expected effect, just move on, as it's probably not implemented yet. For example, changing the width of the borders doesn't work at all with this version.


What's fixed with this version:

- Mac & Windows Portable => program didn't start with the last used skin.

- Mac => changing the panel background didn't work.

- Mac & Windows => program crashed if the selection of a picture was cancelled.



What remains to be done:

- fix everything that doesn't work as it should...

- border widths

- sizes

- new skin info => author & credits

- new grid style with less text

- new grid style with no text at all

- filters & string search => highlight text using bold font, instead of outlining

- skin folders => deletion and management

- discovery and download of new skins, with a search by skin release date, author, or popularity

Been playing around with Beta 2, but have to disable the update which attempts to overwrite the skinned exe every time I start the program up.

Will there be a new skinned beta each update so we can use the most up to date database?

If not, I guess I'll have to run it portable.
