Yeah, adding lots of things in a category with custom tags.

Looks like a case where it'd be more efficient to edit SEARCHES.txt manually.

From what I understand, you're adding the search by clicking the add button. Using the right click menu instead would allow you to insert the search anywhere you want.

Oh lmao, I got it.

I didn't even think of that. I feel dumb now.

Not necessary then.

Update. I have nothing to say here because I simply haven't pinpointed a bug other than the right-click menu thing I showed you. I still use the saved searches exe. Any update on when that little bug will be fixed?

I've fixed that bug as soon as you've reported it. I wanted to release a second beta version that would also include the Mac version, but unfortunately the Mac version isn't ready yet. For personal reasons I haven't been able to work on it during the last 3 weeks.

Hopefully the second beta will be available next week.

I've been working with the new saved searches feature, very nice however, for those who would like to retain their original filters setup there seems to be no way except manually recreating it. For example, after using the saved searches I would like my filter setup to revert back to the attached picture. I've tried saving this setup as a saved filter but it does not retain the "Any......." or " ....... or not" filters.

Sometimes it will be easier to just select a couple filters rather than trying to remember what saved filter that particular search is, especially if you have a large number of saved filters so a default setup, as pictured here, would be nice to be able to retain or at least get back to with the click of a button.

Indeed the saved searches bring a new philosophy which is to invoke a saved search, maybe slightly modify it, but almost never to start from scratch.

It's an interesting suggestion to have a saved search that you use as a template. If you look at SEARCHES.txt, you can see that the searches are described by a string that contains the filters and their values... What I could do is to program a "hack" that would accept the values "-any-" and "-not-". For that you'd have to edit SEARCHES.txt manually.

What do you think?

I'm seeing down the road having a large number of saved searches and being familiar with my default filter setup, it could be easier/faster to adjust a couple filters manually rather than search through a large amount of saved filters.

This would be Awesome Hector, being able to include the "any...." and "....not" values in the text file would absolutely solve the issue, then one could make a default template and revert back to it as necessary. 8)

Small glitch. If you use a filter, then accidently click the same filter again - the program will crash. "Coollector has encountered and error and close".

Easily avoidable by just not doing that but yeah, thought you should know lol.

I wasn't able to reproduce this bug.

Please give more details about how to do it.

If you choose a search, and then go back on and select the same search again it crashed. It may well be that a particular filter causes it to crash rather than it happening to every search to be fair.

Oh I see, you didn't really mean a filter, what you meant was actually a saved search.

I've been able to reproduce the bug, thank you very much!

Oh yes, my bad. My mind keeps defaulting to viewing a saved search as "filters" too.

Here's the second beta for Windows:

https://www.coollector.com/Coollector_BETA_2.exe

All the bugs that were reported should now be fixed, thank you very much for your feedback!

As a bonus, this beta also brings a small change to the interface: when a panel gets replaced by another one, an "ESC key" icon appears at the top right of the app, allowing you to bring back the panel. Previously there was 2 icons that served that purpose, I've removed them and in my opinion it's much clearer now. As the "ESC key" icon suggests, you can also use the ESC key from your keyboard, which turns out to be super convenient, hope you'll like it!
