I'm curious why tv series are not entered as "season 1' etc as some of us only have one or two seasons. It would make it easier to track owned "seasons". For example I have seasons 1, 2 & 3 of Murder She Wrote, if my sister borrowed season 1 and my auntie borrowed season 2, I would know who had which season. It's just a thought but perhaps you could comment on the idea.

The program can already store which seasons or episodes are on a video, don't you know ?


This is not possible with our current database structure. But before the end of this summer, I will transition to a new structure, with many new fields.

And many things will suddenly become possible... Just a few examples:

loaned => which video(s)
wished => to watch or to own ? a specific edition ?
video => rate the image quality, the sound quality, the extras...
video => bought when ? to which store ? at which price ?
viewing details => where ? when ? how many times ?
movie => write a personal review or comments
video => write a personal review or comments
video => store the barcode and display the corresponding cover
price alerts => warn me when this video is available for less than $5

Etc... Etc...

We already have many ideas, and will add many extra fields for future ideas.

We'll use the rest of this year to improve our database of movies & series, and next year we'll move on to creating the other databases.
