The database is updated usually every week, in the worst case every two weeks. You made a request 6 days ago, and it'll be added tomorrow, with the next database update.

If you take a closer look at this thread, you'll see 140 pages of fulfilled requests. Put your glasses on, and stop the bad attitude, it's not good for your Karma.

This statement was not necessary. be professional no need to use strong vocabulary. And the issue was exactly that I am not suppose to put my glasses to read 140 Threads its not my job. You all are suppose to read them because you all are making money from it and we user send you just so that you all can extend your database else for us its not worth to waste our time even. So at least be thankful !!

I didn't use any strong vocabulary. Only "bad attitute", and you can't deny that it was the case. I've done my best to remain professional, but I admit that you've offended me by saying that I don't care, when it's far from the case.
Especially in a thread with 140 pages of fulfilled requests

I just say that the first 140 pages are fulfilled request, only the last page isn't done yet. A quick look should have been enough to notice the fact.

If you bought a license, yes I'm very thankful. Really !

In general, the people that behave like you did are rather the people that hadn't paid.

I hope we'll take a new start and you'll be satisfied with the product you bought. I can assure you that we do care, and work our ass out.

To sustain in market think broadly- just a friendly tip. Because just by a decent behavior you can be convincing for the trial users to become paid. Thats what is the idea of trial version maintaining the unbiased services.

I wouldn't agree with you. because only the ppl who have paid or a planning to pay can react the way I did else for free user they don't care whatever services you do provide. And I am sure most of the user must be enjoying a paid version costing much less then a cup of coffee. And believe me the price that you have quoted is really not such a huge amount that people cannot effort to even bear the loss by purchasing a license of another software with better functionalities.

That I think would be a wise idea even if its going to increase the price.

I think it's the contrary. Paid users tend to be very nice persons, while freegoers can be nasty. From my experience, you get harder critics with a free program than with a paid one. It's called "sense of entitlement".

I didn't get it. What will increase the price ?

I meant even if you have to increase the price of the product to cope with a better and improved quality it is worth for the user. Because every one today want have a better quality for a higher value. Customers are more quality oriented.

A tip : may be you all can try to build a bench that can keep synchronizing your database from IMBD on a daily / Weekly basis by pulling out the information directly from IMDB that can save a your time of updating the database manuelly and its always uptodate

The current price seems right to me. I think I will stick to it. But I do plan to improve the program as much as I can.

What's the part you think needs the more improvement ?

1) Our database is distinct from the IMDb database. It's very important. The IMDb database is the property of the IMDb. It's possible to license their content, but it's very/too expensive. We use the IMDb as a reference for many things, but we also use many other sources of information, as well as user contributions.

2) It takes many hours of my time just to compile and release a new version of the database. There's a lot of steps involved, and it wouldn't be reasonable to do it on a daily basis. And who needs daily updates, by the way ? The database doesn't change that much in a day. On the contrary, updating once a week seems to be the ideal timeframe. Sometimes, it can take a bit longer because of some issues, but we aim at weekly updates.

According to me the Software is Perfect and user friendly. Still there is always a possibility for improvement. According to me under given points could be considered:

1. If the "Owned" movie collection is not matching the one in the Database its better to generate a Flag so that user can also notice because many time they have to browse the list of collection to check manually which is matched correctly and which is just a replacement.

2. If a movie from the private collection is deleted it should automatically be removed from the "Owned" listing with the next synchronization.

3. While I am browsing my owned collection many times the curser jumped back to the "Movies" and I have to start from the beginning. And may be browsing could be made inertiaFree "I meant the mac way- free flow"

Sorry, I don't understand at all.

I plan to add a feature that would check all the file locations, and give you the option to remove the missing files from the database.

Starting with the next version, and following with the one after, I will improve the scrolling. You'll tell me if you still have this problem.

Sorry, I don't understand at all.

I meant- Lets say I am adding around 100 Movies from my collection. Out of these 100 Movies 90 are matched to your database and 10 are not available in yur database but it still match my 10 movies with the nearest matching in ur database. Due to which these 10 movies are shown differently under my Owned category. From here start my in-depth search which are the movies not exactly matched to your database. This issue can be resolved if you generate a tips of a flag or popup with a notice that these 10 Movies are not exactly matched so that user can really get notified of the unmatched movies rather then later on peeping the movies one by one to be sure which one is exactly not a real match.

Don't let the program associate a file to a wrong movie.

When the program scans your disk, you have to check the associations that it's about to make. If an association can't be good because the movie is missing from our database, you click the button "not recognized" and the file isn't associated at all. You request the movie on this forum, and once the movie has been added, you scan the folder again. You won't have any trouble because the movies that were associated by the previous scan will be in the tab "already associated".
